NOTE: If you are seeking permission to use an RMSC image, please see our "Rights & Reproductions" page.
RMSC collections are housed both on exhibit and in storage at the Rochester Museum & Science Center and off-site storage locations. Collections may be accessed for research purposes by submitting a request through the Collections and Records Access Committee according to the following procedure:

if you have questions about whether there are
materials in the RMSC collections that would be pertinent to your
research,
please contact the appropriate person for the material in which
you have an interest.
- fill out and submit a Request For Access. Either
download the
text version and email
it to Kathryn Murano, or download the pdf version and mail or fax it
to:

Rochester, NY 14607 - after your request is received, it will be scheduled for the next Collections and Records Access Committee meeting. You will be notified of the status of your request after the meeting.
- if your request is approved, you will be contacted by a member of the Collections Department staff to schedule your visit. If you plan to take photographs as part of your research, you will need to fill out and sign a Photography Agreement before you begin your research. Note that this agreement gives you the right to take and use photographs for your own research purposes only. Use of the photographs in publications, presentations, or any other public or professional venue requires permissions through the Rights & Reproductions process.
